Village of Stamford

 Village of Stamford will hold a public hearing on June 16, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the Village of Stamford Offices located at 84 Main Street, Stamford, NY 12167 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Village of Stamford’s community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2026 program year. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $45 million in funding for the current program year for housing, public infrastructure, public facilities, economic development, imminent threat, and community planning, with the principal purpose of benefiting low/moderate income persons. The Village of Stamford is applying for $1,500,000 in CDBG funds to upgrade the Village’s water lines along West Main Street, Rt 10 and Grant Place. The hearing will provide CDBG program information and accept public input on proposed grant applications and alternative project ideas.

The Village offices are accessible to persons with disabilities. Written comments may also be submitted to Jamison Hanway, Clerk, Village of Stamford, 84 Main Street, Stamford, NY 12167 until June 19, 2026.
