NY Forward Downtown Revitalization Grant
The Village of Stamford intends to apply for the 4th round of New York State’s NY Forward (NYF) program, which supports the revitalization of smaller downtowns, villages, and hamlets. If selected, the grant could provide transformative resources to restore buildings, enhance public spaces, and celebrate the village's historic charm. The goal is to create a more vibrant, welcoming, and resilient downtown that benefits residents, businesses, and visitors alike. A public, informational meeting will be held at the Village Hall on Thursday October 2nd at 7pm where opportunity will be given to contribute ideas and ask questions.

Letter to Business Owners 2025
This is a letter, including a form to complete, is for business to include their past, present and future investments into their business. This shows that the the Village of Stamford has strong business presence and is worth the investment for the NY Forward Grant.
The Village of Stamford is applying for the NY Forward grant to revitalize our downtown and we need your input!
WHAT: NY Forward is a New York State downtown revitalization grant in which awardees receive 4.5 million dollars and assistance from planning consultants to help make a community's goals for their downtown a reality.
WHO: NY Forward applicants collaborate with members of the community to create a shared vision for their downtown. Project ideas and visions for the Village of Stamford's future will be submitted for consideration in the planning process through surveys and public meetings.
If funds are granted, the community will have another chance for input on project ideas.
HOW: Please fill out a brief anonymous survey to let us know what you love best about our community, what you would like to see improve, and what projects you think would make the most impactful change: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/stamfordrising

The NY Forward Program provides an opportunity to come together as a community to decide how we can improve our beautiful Queen of the Catskills, the Village of Stamford.
